Over 3 Lakh Property Owners in Pimpri Chinchwad Pay Taxes Early to Avail Discount Before June 30

Pimpri Chinchwad, 18th June 2024: In less than three months of the new fiscal year, the Taxation and Tax Collection Department of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has already collected over Rs 362 crores in property taxes, approximately 38% of the total tax collected in the last fiscal year. Out of 6.28 lakh properties, 3.09 lakh property owners have paid their property taxes, accounting for about half of the total property owners. This collection occurred within the first quarter of the fiscal year 2024/25.

There are only 12 days left to receive a 5% to 10% discount on property tax before the June 30th deadline. Consequently, 3,09,233 property owners have decided to pay their property taxes to avail of this discount. According to the Assistant Commissioner of the Taxation and Tax Collection Department, Nilesh Deshmukh, Rs 3,62,12,00,000 has already been collected. To accommodate those seeking the discount, cash counters will be open from 9:45 AM to 6 PM for the remaining 12 days. Additionally, the Taxation and Tax Collection Department recommends using online payment methods to avoid crowding at the cash counters.
