Over 9 Lakh Commuters Use Pune Metro During Ganeshotsava, Highest Ridership Recorded on Visarjan day

From September 18 to September 28, a total of 4,05,280 commuters travelled in Metro between Pimpri Chinchwad Station and Civil Court Station, generating a revenue of Rs 63,23,718. Similarly, on the route from Vanaz Station to Ruby Hall Clinic Station, a total of 5,56,082 travelled between this period bringing in a revenue of Rs 77,47,336 for Metro.

Several stations such as PMC, Vanaz, Deccan Gymkhana, PCMC and Garware College were among the stations that recorded a good ridership during the 10 days of ganesh festival.
According to officials, a total of 19,13,226 people travelled in the Pune Metro till 28th September this month through which a revenue of Rs 2,81,89,760/ was generated. Last month, a total of 21,16,772 people had travelled through which a revenue of Rs 3,25,88,900 was generated.
The highest number of commuters travelled on August 15 when 1,69,512 people used the metro service through which a revenue of Rs 30,63,350 was generated. For September, highest ridership for a month was recorded on September 28 when 1,63,227 people used the Metro service through which a revenue of Rs 25,48,384 was generated. The metro officials had extended the operation hours on September 28 and the trains were running for commuters till 2 am on the next day.
According to officials, a total of 16,89,858 commuters have used the metro service on Pimpri Chinchwad Station to Civil Court Station route after the expansion of Metro service on August 1 till September 28 through which a revenue of Rs 2,67,44,304 was generated. Similarly, a total of 22,74,197 commuters used the service on Vanaz Station to Ruby Hall Clinic Station during this period through which a revenue of Rs 3,22,42,665 was generated.
