Pandit Shrinivas Joshi, Viraj Joshi to feature in ‘Diwalipahat – Bhaktirang’

Pune, October 18: Punekars will get a chance to celebrate Diwali by enjoying devotional music through a concert – ‘Diwali Pahat – Bhaktirang’. The musical program, jointly organized by Kalashree Sangeet Mandal and The Aundh Social Foundation, will be held at Anandban Club, near Gaikwad Petrol Pump in Aundh, on October 24 from 5.30 AM. Entry to the program is free.

Bharat Ratna Pandit Bhinsen Joshi’s son –vocalist Pandit Shrinivas Joshi, and his grandson vocalist Viraj Joshi will perform in the event, informed Abhijit Gaikwad, President, Aundh Social Foundation. Two other artists – vocalist Shaswahti Chaitanya, daughter and disciple of Pandit Sudhakar Chavan and vocalist Abhaysingh Waghachoure, a disciple of Pandit Sudhakar Chavan, will also perform in the devotional musical event.

The main artists will be accompanied by Gangadhar Shinde on harmonium, Pandurang Pawar on tabla and Gambhir Mahajan on Pakhavaj. The program will be moderated by Akash Thite.
