“We have to be proud of our nation, nation comes first and patriotism is the only way to keep the nation united and to take it forward. We are lucky to have a visionary leader in Narendra Modi ji, on his call today more than 40 crores houses have been now hosting the national flag,” Bommai said.

Bommai also believes that the way India fought the COVID-19 crisis was a remarkable achievement.

“The way India fought back COVID is a remarkable achievement in the recent past. Vaccinating 130 crores of people, almost 200 crores vaccinations have been administered already,” quipped Bommai.

“To keep India at the forefront, we are celebrating 75 years of independence – ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ – this will be the foundation to prepare ourselves to see that India enters into ‘Amrutkal’ in next 25 years after 2047 where we are going to celebrate 100 years of independence,” he added.

The Chief Minister on arrival hoisted the tricolour and then took the salute of the parade. He then handed over the national flag to five Amanora citizens – Bhagwat Patil, Saurabh Pusadkar, Sonal Joshi, Sheetal Patil and Amit Sharma.

The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign under the aegis of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to encourage people to bring the ‘Tiranga’ (tricolor) home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence.

Home to 7,000 happy families, Amanora is the first township sanctioned under the special township policy of Government of Maharashtra.
