PCMC: 1031 new COVID cases, 1403 discharged today
Pimpri, 26 August 2020: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) said that 1031 new Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) patients were reported in PCMC areas today. Also, 1403 people got discharged from hospitals while 15 people died today.
According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 44,405 out of which 31,136 have recovered while 840 have died. 4704 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 691 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC hospitals, while 172 have died and 1746 have been cured.
Across Maharashtra, 7,637 people got discharged from hospitals while 14,888 new cases and 295 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 7,18,711 out of which 5,22,427 people have recovered and 23089 have died. There are 1,72,873 active cases.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,234,474 across the country. Out of this, 2,467,758 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 59,449 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 707,267 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
