PCMC: 32 Newly Married Women Died Of Suicide In Last 11 Months

Pimpri Chinchwad, January 1, 2020: Dowry, suspicion and trivial reasons forced as many as 32 newly married women took the extreme step by ending their lives of suicide. All these couples were from Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) area who ended their lives between January to November 2020.

Although dowry has been a punishable offence, still many girls are harassed for it. Last year too 45 newly married women had ended their lives.
