PCMC: 785 new COVID cases, 23 deaths reported in Pimpri Chinchwad

Pimpri, 18 August 2020: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) said that 785 new Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) patients were reported in PCMC areas today. Also, 198 people got discharged from hospitals while 23 people died today.

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 35,397 out of which 24,981 have recovered while 624 have died. 5204 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 445 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC hospitals, while 127 have died and 1428 have been cured.

Across Maharashtra, 9,356 people got discharged from hospitals while 11,119 new cases and 422 deaths were reported today. The total number of COVID cases has reached 6,15,477 out of which 4,37,870 people have recovered and 20,687 have died. There are 1,56,608 active cases.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 27,02,742 across the country. Out of this, 19,77,779 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 51,797 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 6,73,166 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
