Maharashtra COVID report: 11,119 new cases, 422 deaths today
Mumbai, Aug 18, 2020: A total of 9,356 patients were discharged and 11,119 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 2432 new cases were reported in Pune today. Today, 422 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 3.36%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 6,15,477 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
According to the health department, 4,37,870 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.36%. As of today, there are 1,56,608 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 71.14% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.36%. Currently, 11,35,749 people are in home quarantine and 38,175 people are in institutional quarantine.
Out of 32,64,384 laboratory samples, 6,15,477 have been tested positive (18.85%) for COVID-19 until today.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,702,742 across the country. Out of this, 1,977,779 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 51,797 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 673,166 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
