Pimpri Chinchwad, June 9, 2020: In an effort to enhance the immunity power of people, the NGO Arpan and Hahnemannian Homeo Forum (HHF) distributed immunity booster medicines to the residents of containment zones in Pimpri-Chinchwad areas. he Arsenic Album 30, homoeopathic medicine that serves as an immunity booster and is believed to help fight COVID-19.

During a pandemic, there is a general mindset among the population at large. The disease presents itself in a manner that creates a type of phobia, which is common in most of the people who hear of it, stated Dr Priti Patil who works with the NGO.

“Homeopathy does not work on the mind. It works on the vital principle which encompasses the mind and body. Both the mental adaptation and the physical symptomatology lead us to the most matching remedy, Arsenic Album. Besides, the administration of Arsenic Album 30 to healthy individuals was found to increase the number of T cells in a study in 1999,” said Patil referring to the research paper results that can be found on the AYUSH website.

“The T cells grow and boost the immune system. It does not work as prevention against COVID-19. Arsenic Album is not related to COVID at all. It only strengthens your immune system. Then be it a COVID or Dengue, your ability to withstand infection is increased because of the doses you have taken,” she said.

NGO Arpan, along with Hahnemannian Homeo Forum (HHF) has distributed almost 4,000 vials of medicines. Each bottle has covered approximately 4 family members. In total, 16000 people have been given this immunity booster so far.

The containment zones include Wakad-Sudarshan Colony, Police Line, Kalakhadak, Matang Vasti, and Nandanvan Colony. Areas of Kothrud has also been covered, but PCMC jurisdiction is the main focus of the NGO.

Dr Patil added that the medicine is an immunity booster, it doesn’t guarantee that one would not get the infection. “However, this adds an extra shield to your body,” said Patil adding that don’t stop practising social distancing.
