Pimpri Chinchwad: 54 fresh COVID patients in PCMC, 5 discharged today
Pimpri, June 9, 2020: Till 8:51 pm, a total of 54 new Coronavirus positive patients were reported from different parts of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) today. Also, 05 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured. The number of corona patients in Pimpri-Chinchwad has been increasing rapidly in the last few days.
The new patients include 9 from Chinchwad, 10 from Pimpri, 13 from Dapodi, 1 from Chikhali, 1 from Bhosari, 1 from Dighi, 5 from Old Sangvi, 1 from Wakad, 4 from Thergaon, 1 from Charholi, 1 from Kalewadi, 1 from Pimple Nilakh, 1 from Navi Sangvi,1 from Walhekarwadi and 5 from Akurdi.
According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 843 out of which 481 have been cured while 14 have died. There are still 348 active patients including 20 who are admitted in hospitals outside PCMC. Out of 128 non-PCMC patients, 19 have died while 68 have been cured and remaining 41 are undergoing treatment.
Across Maharashtra, there were 2259 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 90,787 . Also, 120 people died while 1663 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 44,849 active cases. The total death toll stands at 3289, while 42,638 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 266,598 across the country. Out of this, 129,313 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 7471 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 129,813 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
