PCMC: 987 new COVID cases reported today, 518 discharged

Pimpri, 8th August 2020: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) said that 987 new Coronavirus Disease (COVID19) patients were reported in PCMC areas today. Also, 518 people got discharged from hospitals while 15 people died today. The report is for the period from 7th August 6.30 pm to 4 pm today (August 8).

 

According to PCMC, the total number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 28,065 out of which 19,312 have recovered while 475 have died. 4851 active patients are still undergoing treatment. There are 399 non-PCMC residents currently admitted in PCMC hospitals, while 109 have died and 1148 have been cured.

 

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 64,576 out of which 46,735 have been cured while 1516 have died. There are still 16,325 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 717 critical patients out of which 443 are on ventilator support.

 

Across Maharashtra, 3,38,262 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 3.45%. As of today, there are 1,47,048 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 67.26% while the fatality rate in the state is 3.45%. Currently, 9,89,612 people are in home quarantine and 35,625 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 26,47,020 laboratory samples, 5,03,084 have been tested positive (19%) for COVID-19 until today.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 2,088,611 across the country. Out of this, 1,427,005 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 42,518 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 619,088 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
