PCMC: Check routes of PMPML buses in Pimpri Chinchwad
Pimpri Chinchwad, May 24, 2020: For the convenience of industrial workers and regular passengers in Pimpri-Chinchwad area, MIDC area, PMPML bus service will be started from May 26 on a total of 30 routes. The buses will be operated through Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal (PMPML) bus depot in Nigdi, Bhosari and Pimpri. However, passengers under the age of 10 and those above the age of 65 are prohibited. Also only 21 passengers wearing masks will be allowed entry in the bus.
According to the PMPML, the passengers will be guided to keep a safe distance and wear masks. The passengers will have to stand in circle at the bus stops. Inside the buses, there are markings at the window seat and aisle seat in alternate rows where passengers will sit. The buses on the route will be sent for daily cleaning and disinfection. Apart from the depot, the bus will be cleaned at the bus stand by a sanitizing team. The controller-checker will ensure that the bus is running with only 21 passengers. The PMPML administration has also instructed the drivers to strictly follow the schedule of the rounds.
