PCMC Commissioner Hardikar Directs Enquiry Against Chief Medical Officer

Pimpri, September 5, 2020: Ordering inter-departmental enquiry into the direct transfer of funds in the bank account of three medical officers, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) commissioner Shravan Hardikar has withdrawn all the financial rights given to chief medical officer Dr K Anil Roy.

A contractor was appointed at YCM hospital, Pimpri, for purchasing various medical equipment. Dr Roy took Rs two lakh, biomedical engineer Sunil Londhe took Rs 2.48 lakh while Sunil Belgaonkar took Rs 80,000 from this contractor. This was revealed during the examination of the expenditure account. A show-cause notice was slapped on them on June 16.

Following this, Hardikar has directed the enquiry into the matter.
