PCMC: Multi-Purpose Building For Various Services To Come Up At Dighi

Dighi, 6th March 2021: The groundbreaking (Bhumi Pujan) ceremony for the construction of a multi-purpose building and development of space near Sainik Bhavan on Pune-Alandi Road was held today. The building will come under the Dighi-Bopkhel of Ward No. 4 of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).

The area of the multi-purpose building to be constructed at Dighi is 727 sq.m. The building will have a car park and four floors, including a 26-bed maternity ward, operating room, sonography room, reception room, waiting room, doctors room, laboratory, pharmacy and more and it will cost Rs 3.22 crores.

“Collective efforts are required to complete the work in our area. Due to the people’s representatives striving for development, the area is undergoing transformation due to their follow-up with the administration. Everyone should work together to fill the gap of development and everyone should do a good job”, said Mayor Usha Dhore.

MLA Mahesh Landge, Ward President Vikas Dolas, Kundan Gaikwad, Corporator Hirabai Ghule, Nirmala Gaikwad, Former Corporators Dattatraya Gaikwad, Ramdas Kumbhar, Meena Patil, Asha Supe, Praful Puranik of Public Relations Department, Ex-Servicemen, Social Activists Sanjay Gaikwad, Dr Mahesh Bharti, Dr Raju Kale, Kuldeep Parande, etc. were also present.

“There is real satisfaction in implementing any project, activity or plan only when it benefits all sections of the society. Noting that the planning and priorities of development works should be decided to keep in view the difficulties of all the common citizens. The needs of the citizens are different in a different ward,” MLA Landge said.

He added, “The people’s representative who shows his existence through his work lives in the minds of all the common people. If the people’s representatives undertake development works to solve the problems of the people in that area and if they complete it, the citizens of that area will also be satisfied. After providing facilities to the citizens, their response is important.”

The introductory speech of the program was given by Vikas Dolas, Ward President, the program was hosted by Praful Puranik of the Information and Public Relations Department, and a vote of thanks was given by Nirmala Gaikwad, Member of the Council.
