PCMC’s Massive Crackdown: 68 Lakh Sq. Ft. of Illegal Constructions Razed in Kudalwadi

Kudalwadi, 10th February 2025: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) continued its massive crackdown on unauthorized constructions for the second consecutive day in the Kudalwadi area of Chikhali. The Building Permit and Unauthorized Construction Control Department, along with regional teams, demolished 68.78 lakh square feet of illegal structures on Sunday, bringing down 607 unauthorized constructions.

This large-scale demolition follows an operation on the previous day, during which 222 structures were razed. In total, 829 unauthorized sheds, factories, godowns, and scrap shops have been removed in the two-day drive.

The joint operation was carried out under the guidance of Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Chaube and Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh.

The PCMC has warned of continued action against unauthorized sheds, factories, godowns, and scrap shops built on reserved land and development roads.

Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale-Patil urged people to remove their machinery and materials voluntarily to avoid losses and cooperate with the authorities.
