New Delhi, 5th November 2021: People have made tremendous purchases during the Diwali festival. Due to this, there has been a huge business of about Rs 1.25 lakh crore. This information has been given by the trade organization Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).

According to the information given by CAIT, this is the record level of market buying for the last 10 years. This figure is also important because the fear of corona continues in the country and people are avoiding going out in the crowd. However, CAIT says that this Diwali, people have come out in the market and they have made record purchases.

In the past, CAIT had claimed that due to its boycott call, sugar exporters have suffered business loss worth Rs 50,000 crore during this Diwali.

According to CAIT, like last year, this year also the organization has called for a ‘boycott of Chinese goods’ and stopping the import of Chinese goods by Indian traders will certainly result in a trade loss of around Rs 50,000 crore to China.

CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal had said that a recent survey conducted in 20 cities by the research wing of the organization has revealed that so far, no orders for Diwali goods, crackers, or other items have been placed by Indian traders and no trade between importers to Chinese exporters have been made.
