New Delhi, January 8, 2021: A petition has been filed in the Delhi High Court seeking removal of the caller tune which warns against Coronavirus infection in the voice of Amitabh Bachchan on the mobile phone. This PIL filed in the Delhi High Court has demanded the caller tune in the voice of actor Amitabh Bachchan be aware of Coronavirus infection be removed.

There are many arguments made by the petitioner behind this. In this PIL filed in the court, it has been argued that during the Corona era, only Corona Warriors should be given a stake in the caller tune of the mobile phone as part of the Coronavirus infection awareness program. It has also been said that many people are Corona Warriors and they have set a good example by doing better in society.

Not only this, but Amitabh Bachchan is also receiving money from the central government for the same. For the awareness program, the caller tune on mobile, in Amitabh Bacchan’s voice, should be replaced by those who have served the society during the corona period. A bench of Delhi High Court Judge Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh listed it for January 18, as the counsel for the petitioner expressed an inability to be present physically for the hearing.

Amitabh Bachchan and his Family had tested positive for corona themselves

During the fast-spreading Coronavirus infection in Mumbai, Amitabh Bachchan himself was infected along with many of his family members. These include his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai. They were all admitted to a hospital in Mumbai, where they were treated.

Amitabh Bachchan was targeted in the petition as well

Rakesh, a social activist from Delhi has said in the petition that Amitabh Bachchan is making people aware of the caller tune of mobile phones to fight against corona and the measures to be taken against it; while the other members of his family did not care as they were all infected by corona.

The petition, filed through advocates AK Dubey and Pawan Kumar stated that the central government is also paying fees to Amitabh Bachchan as a reward for spreading the preventive measures on caller tune. The petition also argues that there are many corona warriors in the country who are selflessly helping the poor and needy. The petition also argues that some famous corona warriors are ready to offer their services without any payment.
