Pimpri Chinchwad: 20 new COVID patients detected in PCMC, 28 discharged

Pimpri, May 30, 2020: In Pimpri-Chinchwad city, 20 COVID infected patients were found during the day on Saturday. The number of Corona victims in the city has crossed five hundred and the total number has reached 517. Also, 28 people were discharged from hospitals who have recovered from Coronavirus. So far, 252 people have been cured.

There is an atmosphere of concern among the citizens of the city due to the frequent increase in the number of COVID19 patients in the last few days. The newly infected patients, who were found on Saturday, are residents of Bhosari (2), Anandnagar (5), Kasarwadi (2), Wakad (2), Pimpri (5), Nehrunagar (1), Dapodi (1), Rupinagar (1), Morevasti (1). They are undergoing treatment at the Municipal Hospital.  Residents of Sambhajinagar, Alandi Road, Anandnagar, Bodhnagar, Rupinagar and Wakad have been discharged from the hospital and are in good health, medical officials said.

According to PCMC, out of 517 total patients 252 have been cured while eight people have died. There are 257 active patients undergoing treatment in Pimpri-Chinchwad as well as outside (32 patients). Also, out of 85 non-PCMC patients under treatment here, 12 have died while 31 have been cured and discharged. There are still 42 patients admitted here. One non-PCMC COVID patient was admitted in hospital today.
