Pimpri Chinchwad: 21 fresh COVID cases in PCMC, total tally reaches 450

Pimpri, May 27, 2020: Till 9:26 pm today, 21 Coronavirus positive patients were reported in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) area, taking the total tally to 450.  According to PCMC, the new patients include 8 from Anandnagar (Chinchwad),1 from Bopkhel, 3 from Akurdi,  4 from Bhatnagar  1 from Pimple gurav , 1 Kiwale, 1 from Old Sangavi, 1 from New Sangvi, 1 from Kalewadi .  Anandnagar near Chinchwad station has reached 141.

 

PCMC officials said that out of 450 total patients, 191 have been cured while seven have died. There are still 252 active patients who are undergoing treatment in different hospitals including YCM hospital and Bhosari hospital. Also, out of 66 patients from outside PCMC who were found positive, 11 have died while 20 have been cured. There are still 35 of them undergoing treatment in PCMC including four who were found positive today.

 

In Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), In the last 24 hours, a total of 106 new patients have been found today till 7.30 pm. Also, 194 patients have recovered while 10 people died. According to the PMC health department, the total number of COVID patients in Pune city has reached 5533 out of which 3059 have been cured while 283 have died.

 

At present, 2190 active patients are still undergoing treatment in different hospitals. They include 171 critical patients including 50 with ventilator support. Today swab samples of 1360 patients were collected for COVID test. Till now samples of 45,269 people have been tested. Among the 11 deaths, six were men and five women, all between the age group of 37 to 90 years. They were from Padamavati, Dharma Nagar in Janwadi, Ganesh Nagar in Yerwada, Marketyard, Nagpur chawl in Yerwada, Nana Peth, Sinhgad Road, Wadarwadi, Mangalwar Peth, Bhawani Peth, and Tukai Nagar Daund taluka.

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 2190 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 56,948. Also, 105 people died while 964 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 37,125, active cases. The total death toll stands at 1792, while 16,954 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.
