Pimpri Chinchwad: Bank Branch Closes After Manager Tests COVID Positive

Chinchwad, September 8, 2020: A branch of a reputed bank in the Bijlinagar was closed after its manager tested Coronavirus (COVID-19) positive, informed an official from the bank on Monday.

Meanwhile, the number of people visiting the branch for salary withdrawal is huge. However, when the customers visited the branch, they observed the notice board which read, “The bank will be closed for the next three days as the bank manager, is COVID positive.”

No prior notice was given to any of the customers. All the other employees had to be tested and were quarantined. Due to which the disappointed customers returned home.

“At least three days are going to be inconvenient for people living in Bijlinagar, Giriraj society, Chinchawde Nagar, Walhekarwadi, Gurudwara, Chintamani Nagar, and near Akurdi railway station. Services like withdrawal, depositing cheque and money will be unavailable”, informed a staffer in the bank.
