Pimpri Chinchwad, 15th March 2023: The Bhosari MIDC police have arrested a man for obstructing government work after he pushed engineers of MSEDCL during an inspection of electricity connections that had been permanently cut off due to unpaid bills. The accused has been remanded to judicial custody.

The incident took place on Sunday (12th March) when Executive Engineer Uday Bhosle, Assistant Engineer Ramesh Sool, and Senior Technician Suhas Dhengale were inspecting the electricity connections of customers whose electricity supply had been permanently disconnected due to outstanding bills in Moshi. The inspection revealed that electricity consumption continued in one flat in the Asiana building even after the supply had been cut off. When the engineers attempted to take further action, Ramesh Baburao Thorat (47), a resident of Ashiana Building, Sector 4, Moshi, pushed Executive Engineer Bhosle and used abusive language. He also vandalized Assistant Engineer Sool’s four-wheeler.
