Pimpri, September 17, 2023: A bus traveling from Pune to Mumbai was involved in a collision at the Finolex Chowk underpass on the Old Pune-Mumbai Highway at approximately 8:30 PM on Sunday. The accident occurred when the bus’s rear axle broke, causing it to crash into the central divider.

The impact of the crash caused severe damage to the bus and the underpass. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far. However, the accident has led to a major traffic jam, stretching for approximately one kilometer in both directions.

Local traffic police and authorities have swiftly arrived at the scene to manage the situation and handle traffic. However, accessing the accident site with a crane is proving to be challenging due to the heavy traffic congestion.
