Pimpri Chinchwad Crime Branch Recovers 13 Stolen Bullet Bikes, Two Persons Arrested

Pimpri-Chinchwad, January 25, 2021: Pimpri Chinchwad Police Crime Branch Unit 3 has arrested two thieves and recovered 13 Bullets bikes worth Rs 20.5 lakh and two other expensive two-wheelers from their possession.

The arrested persons have been identified as Vishal Balasaheb Magar (20) of Lehnewadi and Vishal Bankat Khaire (21) of Bhutdata, both located in Jamkhed taluka of Ahmednagar district. Police are searching for the main accused Amol Shivaji Dhoble of Ghatkopar, Mumbai.

Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash while addressing a press conference today said that while investigating vehicle theft cases, Crime Branch Unit 3 staff obtained CCTV footage and zeroed on notorious thief Dhoble at Ghatkopar. Police Constables Pramod Dhakne and Yogeshwar Kolekar received information that two of his accomplices are coming to the Moshi Toll-Naka area to sell a Bullet bike

Accordingly, a trap was laid on Sunday, January 24. Police arrested the accused Magar and Khaire and a bullet was found with them. Upon further investigation, they revealed that the Bullet motorcycle was stolen by their friend Dhoble and given to them for selling it. The accused also told the police that Dhoble had kept 12 Bullet motorcycles and two other motorcycles for sale at Jamkhed. Police have seized 13 bullet motorcycles, an Apache motorcycle and an Activa, which were stolen from Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune district, Navi Mumbai and Thane.

Theft cases are registered with Chakan Police Station 2, Bhosari MIDC Police Station 2, Bhosari Police Station 1, Pimpri Police Station 1, Hinjewadi Police Station 1 within Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, and Rajgad Police Station 2 in Pune rural area, Neral Police Station 1 in Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate area. Crimes have been registered at APMC Police Station 1, Rabale Police Station 1, Kapurbawdi Police Station 1 in Thane city limits.

Commissioner Krishna Prakash said that more vehicle theft cases are being investigated. He also gave appreciation certificates to three police officers and personnel.

The action was taken under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police Ramnath Pokle, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sudhir Hiremath, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) RR Patil, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Prerna Kate by a team led by Senior Police Inspector Shankar Babar, Sub-Inspectors Prasanna Jarhad, Girish Sachin More.

The team also included police personnel Hazrat Pathan, Yadu Adhari, Sachin More, Vitthal Sanap, Gangadhar Chavan, Yogeshwar Kolekar, Natha Kekan, Rajkumar Hanmante, Sagar Jainak, Trinayan Balsaraf, Shashikant Nangre, Rahul Suryavanshi, Pramod Dhakne, Jagdish Budhwant and Gajanan Aaglave.
