The investigation, which stretched across three states, was completed within an impressive span of just four days.

The arrested accused have been identified as, Alfahad Arif Momin (27), resident of Milli Colony, Dharashiv, Ajay Patil alias Shivprasad Mallikarjun Khudase (39), resident of Latur, Surya alias Rahulsingh Nirmalsingh Karnavat, resident of Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, and Premshankar Baldev Bairagi, resident of Bhilwara, Rajasthan.

According to police officials, the complainant was fraudulently added to an online group and enticed into investing in a fake trading platform, resulting in a staggering financial loss of ₹71 lakh. A formal complaint was lodged at the Cyber Police Station.

During the course of the investigation, police discovered suspicious transactions amounting to ₹50 lakh in a bank account registered under Momin’s name. He was promptly arrested in Dharashiv and revealed during interrogation that the account had been opened on instructions from Khudase, who was subsequently apprehended in Latur.
