Pimpri Chinchwad Police Raids Saloni Bar, 46 Customers Fined Rs 23000

Pimpri, 28 August 2021: The sleuths from the social security cell of Pimpri Chinchwad police on Friday night raided Saloni Bar in Pimpri for operating beyond permissible timing.
After getting a tip-off, the cops swooped down the bar located near Sai Chowk. 46 customers sitting inside around 12.30 am Saturday. Police seized Rs 7100 from the bar and Rs 23000 fine from the customers.
An FIR has been registered at Pimpri police station against Saloni Bar owner Rajesh Lalwani (48), waiters Arafat Mojrim Mandal (24), Habibul Shaikh (19), and cook Qausik Anarul Mulla (21). They have been charged offences under related sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Epidemic Diseases Act, Maharashtra Covid Regulation.
The action was taken by a team comprising Assistant Police Inspector Dr Ashok Dongare, PSI Pradipsingh Sisode, Dhairyashil Solanke and their team members.
