Pimpri Chinchwad: Woman Molested, Husband Attacked By Group Of Youths In Dehu Road Area
Dehu Road, 6th March 2023: A group of three-four youths molested a woman and attacked her husband, causing a commotion. The incident has left women in the area feeling unsafe.
According to police, the 23-year-old victim, a software engineer, was molested by three bikers while waiting for her husband at the railway station. When her husband arrived, he confronted the bikers, leading to an argument and physical assault. The couple was rescued by locals, who then called the police. The Dehu Road police arrested three accused Avinash Gaikwad (21), Sahil Taras (23) and Ashutosh Dugaon (23 in the case.
The victim’s husband, who works for an MNC, expressed his fear and said, “Women feel unsafe in Dehu road after 7 pm. It becomes difficult even to walk in the area. The police don’t take strict action against local ruffians.”
A complaint has been filed, and the police have booked the suspects under sections 354, 324, 504 and 506 of the IPC. The investigation is ongoing.
