Pimpri: Man Tries to Shoot Wife; Case Filed Against Husband And Father-in-law

Pimpri, June 1, 2021: A case has been registered against a man for sexually assaulting, and beating his wife and firing gunshots at her.

The incident took place between May 23, 2019, and June 24, 2021.

The victim filed a case at the Hinjawadi police station on Thursday.

According to the police, the accused used to beat the victim and sexually assault her. He also tried to kill her by firing gunshots at her. The accused’s father had allegedly incited the accused to assault the victim. The police have also registered a case against the accused’s father. The married woman was physically assaulted with a stick, the complaint said.

Sub-Inspector of Police Chhaya Borkar is investigating the case further.

The victim’s father-in-law is a well-known entrepreneur from the Aundh area. Various charges have already been filed against the entrepreneur and his son. It was later revealed that the entrepreneur harassed the victim too. According to the complaint lodged by the victim, a case was registered at the Hinjawadi police station against her husband and father-in-law.
