Pimpri: Parents Concerned Over Alcohol Bottles and Litter Near Exam Centre

Pimpri, 17 February 2025: Parents in Pimpri raised serious concerns after discovering alcohol bottles, cigarette ashes, and gutkha packets on boundaries wall and near the premises of Jai Hind High School & Junior College, an exam centre for board students. The issue came to light when parents arrived to drop off their children for the exam.
Speaking to Punekar News, parents expressed frustration over the condition of the school’s surroundings. One parent, present for their daughter’s physics exam, stated, “I have noticed this since the last two exams. It is not just the school’s responsibility but also that of the local residents.”
A school security guard said he was unaware of who was responsible, adding that many people pass by as the school is close to a market area.
When approached for a statement, the school principal said they would first investigate the matter before commenting further.
