Pimpri: Police Parade Youths Who Vandalized Vehicles In Nehru Nagar
Pimpri, November 3, 2020: A day after Wakad police paraded goons for terrorising residents in Rahatani and Kalewadi, today Pimpri police station officials paraded the main accused and his accomplices who had vandalized vehicles and injured a person in Nehru Nagar on Friday night.
A mob of about 100 unidentified persons had carried out the deadly attack last week. The gang also vandalized ten vehicles. The accused, who came on two-wheelers, rioted with axes and swords. Pimpri police have detained 14 minors in this case. In addition, police have arrested 20 people including the main accused.
On Tuesday evening, Pimpri police paraded the accused persons in the same localities to send a stern message to the culprits.
Over the last few days, the number of vehicle vandalism cases in Pimpri-Chinchwad has increased significantly. The police have resorted to this method to control the accused and prevent panic among the citizens.
