PM Modi launches COVID Warriors website to connect people from different organisations

New Delhi, April 26, 2020: Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ today gave information about a new website related to Coronavirus. The PM said that the government has launched a new digital platform so that representatives of social organizations, civil society, and people of local administration can connect. PM Modi shared information about the website http://covidwarriors.gov.in

The PM said in his address, ‘My dear countrymen, I humbly and respectfully, today, bow to the spirit of 130 crore countrymen. The Government has also prepared a digital platform to enable you to do something according to your feeling, according to your interest in the country, according to your time. This platform is – http://covidwarriors.gov.in

He further said, “Through this platform, the government has connected the volunteers of social organizations, representatives of civil society and local administration to each other. It did not take much time to connect 125 crore people with this portal. Information about doctors, nurses, ASHA workers, NSS and NCC fellow and professionals working in the field is available here. All of them have made this platform their own. You too can serve the country by joining http://covidwarriors.gov.in and become a COVID Warrior.”

What is special about COVID Warriors website?

There are many tabs available on this website. These include Home, Hospitals, State Nodal Officers, District Nodal Officers, Associations, Training Matrix with Role and Officer Login. As soon as you go to the website, you will see three slides. In which the information on the Coronavirus tracker app Arogya Setu is given on the first slide. People have been asked to download the app. Clicking on it gets redirected to mygov.in/COVID-19. On this page, you will get all information related to coronavirus, helpline number, statistics.

In the second slide, you can see the photo gallery of the help of people being done by the government and army officers. In the third slide, STAY HOME STAY SAFE has been asked. Country and state-wise figures are given at the bottom of these slides. After this, you can get information about all the institutions, hospitals and all the different people involved in dealing with COVID19. Finally, there are photo galleries showing how COVID Warriors are doing their job well.
