PMC Announces Day-Long Water Cut in Parts of Pune on August 5
Pune, 4th August 2026: Water supply to several parts of the city will remain disrupted on Wednesday as the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has planned to carry out repairs to a leaking sluice valve at the 400 MLD SNDT (MLR) Parvati water treatment plant.
According to the civic body, water supply will remain suspended from 2 am to 7 pm on August 5 in the affected areas. Residents are also likely to experience delayed and low-pressure water supply on Thursday morning after services are restored.
The affected areas include Law College Road, Paud Road, Vedant Nagari, Kulshree Colony, Sahawas Society, Karishma Society, DP Road, Mayur Colony, Shivaji Housing Society, Erandwane, Bharatkunj, Vakil Nagar, Girija Shankar, Navsahyadri Society, Nilkamal, Yashashree, Sukha Jayashree Society and adjoining localities. Water supply will also be affected in areas served by the Chatushrungi water tank, including Aundh, Bopodi, Bhau Patil Road, Pune University campus, Khadki, Sangamwadi, Ambedkar Vasahat, Chakankar Nagar, Abhimanshree Society, Range Hills and Aundhgaon.
The PMC has appealed to residents to store sufficient water in advance and cooperate during the repair work.
