PMC corporator Rekha Tingre disqualified for illegal construction

Pune : Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) corporator Rekha Tingre was disqualified from membership of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) for carrying out illegal
construction on a portion of land reserved for a garden in the civic development plan.

PMC commissioner Kunal Kumar disqualified Tingre after report of the city engineer confirmed the illegal construction in Dhanori.

PMC elections will be held in 2017. Therefore she has been disqualified for few months. She may contest the next election.
