PMC Elections 2025: BJP’s Raghavendra ‘Bappu’ Mankar Files Nomination from Ward 25
Pune, 30th December 2025: Bharatiya Janata Party’s official candidate Raghavendra “Bappu” Mankar on Tuesday filed his nomination for the Pune Municipal Corporation elections from Ward No. 25, which covers the central Pune areas of Shanivar Peth and Mahatma Phule Mandai.
Mankar submitted his nomination at the Vishrambaug ward office in the presence of Kasba Assembly MLA Hemant Rasane and several BJP leaders and workers. Along with him, BJP candidates Swarada Bapat, Kunal Tilak, and Swapnali Pandit also filed their nomination papers.
Former corporators Dilip Kalokhe and Gayatri Khadke, BJP Kasba constituency president Amit Kank, Ward No. 25 BJP president Sunil Rasale, and party office-bearers were present during the process.
Addressing party workers after filing his nomination, Mankar said the BJP had given him the opportunity based on his work over the last decade in various organisational roles and his efforts to resolve civic issues faced by residents of Ward No. 25. He expressed confidence that he would convert this opportunity into meaningful public service.

The BJP has announced Mankar’s candidature from Group ‘B’ of Ward No. 25 for the PMC elections. Along with him, Swarada Bapat, Kunal Tilak, and Swapnali Pandit have also been named as party candidates from the same ward.
Mankar has been actively associated with the BJP for the past nine years and has worked across multiple party positions. He is well known in the area for addressing citizens’ complaints through Pune’s first 24-hour public grievance office, which helped him build strong grassroots connect in the ward. His outreach among Ganesh mandal volunteers is also seen as a key factor strengthening his candidature.

Expressing confidence ahead of the civic polls, Mankar said voters in Ward No. 25 were aware of the development initiatives undertaken by the BJP at the national, state, and city levels. He said he was confident that citizens would extend their support to the party and ensure the victory of all BJP candidates from the ward with a clear majority in the Pune Municipal Corporation elections.
