Baner, 12th January 2026: Sudarshan Jagdale, an engineer and software professional, is receiving widespread support from educated, tax-paying citizens in Ward 9, comprising Baner, Balewadi, Pashan, Sus, Mahalunge, and surrounding areas, ahead of the upcoming municipal elections.

Residents have voiced long-standing frustration over the lack of basic civic amenities. According to locals, issues such as poor road conditions, water shortages, inadequate drainage, traffic congestion, and insufficient security have persisted for over two decades. Many citizens say these problems have been compounded by political disturbances rather than resolved.

“There are constant late-night disturbances from firecrackers, loud DJ music, public drunkenness, and harassment at traffic signals. Incidents targeting women are also rising, indicating a serious gap in policing and security,” said one resident, highlighting the growing concerns over safety in the area.

Against this backdrop, citizens are looking to Jagdale as a candidate with practical experience at the society level, describing him as educated, fearless, and responsible. “We don’t want empty slogans anymore; we need a representative who understands the system and stands up for the safety of the citizens,” a group of residents said.
