BJP Candidate Raghavendra Mankar Promises Walking Tracks, Fitness Facilities in Ward 25

Pune, 7th January 2026: With the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) elections approaching, BJP’s official candidate from Ward No. 25 — Shaniwar Peth and Mahatma Phule Mandai area — Raghavendra Bappu Mankar on Wednesday interacted with senior citizens and fitness enthusiasts during morning walks across key public gardens in the ward.

Mankar assured residents that if elected, he would focus on strengthening health-related infrastructure by developing dedicated walking tracks for senior citizens, providing essential exercise equipment, and ensuring the availability of trained instructors in public gardens. He said such facilities were necessary to promote an active and healthy lifestyle among citizens, especially the elderly.

The interaction took place at several popular gardens including Vartak Baug, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Garden, Saras Baug, Maharana Pratap Garden and Sathe Garden. BJP leaders and party workers including Swarda Bapat, Kunal Tilak and Swapnali Pandit were present during the outreach programme and spoke with regular morning walkers and local residents.

Speaking to citizens, Mankar said that regular exercise was vital for maintaining good health and that the civic body must proactively create safe and accessible spaces for physical activity within the ward. He added that his priority would be to upgrade existing garden facilities and introduce structured fitness support for residents.

Former corporator Rajesh Yenpure, Gayatri Khadke, constituency president Amit Kank, along with BJP office-bearers Bipin Borawke, Manish Jadhav, Kiran Jagdale, Kunal Aher, Dhananjay Dimbale and other party workers were also present during the campaign activity.
