PMPML Buses Collide Head-On, Over 25 Injured On Pune-Nagar Road BRT Lane

Pune, 1st August 2023: In a tragic incident today on Pune-Ahmednagar Road, two Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) buses collided head-on, resulting in injuries to more than 25 passengers. The unfortunate collision involved a bus en route from Talegaon Dhamdhere to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and another bound for Wagholi.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:45 AM in the BRT lane when a CNG bus, traveling at high speed, crashed into the bus heading towards Wagholi. The impact of the collision left 29 individuals wounded, comprising eight women and 17 passengers. Notably, both drivers and conductors of the buses were also among those injured in the mishap.

Satish Gavhane, an official from PMPML, reported that they are currently at Sasoon Hospital, where more than 25 injured passengers have been taken for medical attention. The counting of the injured is still ongoing, and further details will be shared once they are collected.
