PMPML To Again Run Buses From Pune Airport

Viman Nagar, September 20, 2020: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has proposed to start bus service on five routes in the city for the convenience of passengers and staff coming and going at Pune airport. The service is scheduled to be launched in October.

After the start of the city bus service, there was a preliminary discussion between the airport and PMPML authorities about starting a bus service from the airport. After that, the PMPML officials studied some of the routes and planned five routes. These include airport to Hadapsar, Swargate, Kothrud, Hinjawadi and Nigdi.

The airport administration has also started taking feedback of passengers about the five routes. Passengers have been asked for suggestions about new routes also.

Also, there are plans to launch air-conditioned (AC) electric buses on most routes. Also, ticket prices will be the same as of regular buses.

 

Rajendra Jagtap, Chairman and Managing Director, PMPML, said that the bus service from the airport is scheduled to start in October. But before that, the opinions of the passengers will be taken. The final decision on starting the bus will be based on the response received from them.

1. Nagar Road-Chandan Nagar, Magarpatta-Hadapsar

2. Kalyani Nagar-Wadia College, Seven Loves Chowk-Swargate

3. Pune Station- Pune Municipal Corporation main building-Deccan Gymkhana-Kothrud

4. Pune Station-Savitribai Phule Pune University-Wakad Bridge-Hinjawadi

5. Vishrantwadi-Bhosari-Pimpri-Nigdi
