Maharashtra COVID report: 20,598 new cases, 455 deaths today

Mumbai, September 20, 2020: A total of 26,408 patients were discharged and 20,598 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra while 1700 new cases were reported in Pune city today. Today, 455 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state, Case fatality rate in the state is 2.7%. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 12,08,642 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.

According to the health department, 8,84,341 patients have been cured while the Case fatality rate in the state is 2.7%. As of today, there are 2,91,238 active cases in the state. The recovery rate in the state is 73.17% while the fatality rate in the state is 2.7%.

Currently, 18,49,217 people are in home quarantine and 35,644 people are in institutional quarantine. Out of 58,72,241 laboratory samples, 12,08,642 have been tested positive (20.58%) for COVID-19 until today.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,400,619 across the country. Out of this, 4,303,043 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 86,752 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 10,108,24 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
