PMPML’s Pune Darshan and Tourism Buses Generate Rs 4.75 Lakh in October-November
Pune, 6th December 2024: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited’s (PMPML) Pune Darshan and Tourism Buses received an excellent response in October and November. Through these services, PMPML earned a total of Rs 4.75 lakh, with Pune Darshan Buses generating Rs 1.98 lakh and Tourism Buses bringing in Rs 2.77 lakh.
Understanding the demand, especially from students and working professionals with weekends off, PMPML introduced these services. The Pune Darshan Bus is popular among small groups or individuals looking to visit key tourist and cultural spots in and around Pune, while the Tourism Bus caters to larger groups of 15 to 20 people. Both services are affordable and have been particularly successful, especially during Diwali in November.
In October, the Pune Darshan Bus generated Rs 37,000 in revenue, which increased significantly to Rs 1.61 lakh in November. Meanwhile, the Tourism Bus earned Rs 89,000 in October and Rs 1.88 lakh in November. Altogether, PMPML collected Rs 4.75 lakh through these initiatives.
