Police Enforce No-Parking Zone Outside Pune Railway Station Amid Rising Congestion

Pune, 3rd May 2025: With Pune Railway Station experiencing unprecedented levels of traffic, congestion, and crowding, it is becoming increasingly difficult for the public to access or exit the premises on time. In response to this issue, the Pune Police Traffic Branch, led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende, has implemented new parking regulations.
The area falls under the jurisdiction of the Bund Garden Traffic Division. Under the new rules, a strict no-parking zone has been enforced in the 200-meter stretch from the station’s entrance gate to the exit gate. Violators will face fines for parking within this restricted area.
Members of the public who have objections or suggestions regarding the new rules are invited to submit their feedback to the Traffic Branch Office on Airport Road in Yerawada before 17th May.
It is important to note that these parking restrictions do not apply to emergency vehicles such as fire engines, police vehicles, or ambulances.
