Poonam Pandey, her boyfriend Sam Ahmed booked by Mumbai Police for roaming in car unnecessarily

Mumbai, May 11, 2020: Mumbai Police has registered an FIR against actress Poonam Pandey and her boyfriend Sam Ahmed, for allegedly violating lockdown rules.
According to the police, Pandey and his companion were wandering outside unnecessarily. Marine Drive police station has also seized their BMW car. Both of them have been booked for offences under sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Disaster Management Act.
In an Instagram post today, Poonam Pandey confirmed the rumours of her being arrested and said she was on a movie marathon last night watching three movies. “I’ve been getting calls since last night, but I’m home and safe”, She summed. After this, Poonam Pandey faced a lot of bashing on social media.
According to media reports, Poonam Pandey and her friend Sam were allowed to leave the police station only after a thorough investigation. They had travelled from Bandra to Marine Drive.
