Popular Influencer and Radio Jockey RJ Simran Found Dead in Gurugram Apartment
New Delhi, 26th December 2024: Jammu and Kashmir-based popular social media influencer and radio jockey Simran Singh was found dead inside her apartment in Gurugram on Wednesday night. The police confirmed that it was a case of suicide.
Authorities reported that Simran’s body was found hanging in her room, and no suicide note was found. According to ASI Pradeep Kumar of Sadar Police Station, Gurugram, the family revealed that Simran was facing personal problems for a long time that may have led to the tragic decision.
It is on this basis that she was subjected to a post-mortem on Thursday morning, after her family had complained in writing. Her body has been released to the family, and police maintained that no case has so far been filed in this connection.
The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference has offered condolences following Simran’s death. On X, the party stated: “Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President of the JKNC, and Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, accompanied by Deputy CM Surinder Kumar Choudhary, have conveyed their deep condolences to the tragic and untimely death of Simran Singh, famously known as RJ Simran and fondly called ‘Jammu Ki Dhadkan.'”
Who Was RJ Simran?
Simran Singh, lovingly referred to as “Jammu Ki Dhadkan,” was a 25-year-old resident of Jammu. She initially came to limelight as a RJ on a prominent radio station and then became a freelance.
With 682,000 Instagram followers, Simran was also well-known on social media. She was well known for entertaining her admirers with her funny reels. Since then, her farewell Instagram post—a clip posted on December 13—has been flooded with comments from surprised fans who are saddened by her untimely passing.
