Pune: 10,000 PMPML Employees Yet To Get Diwali Bonus From Diwali
Pune, 1 November 2021: A meeting of the Standing Committee of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) was held last week to give Diwali bonus to 10,000 employees of the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML). An amount of Rs 24 crore was approved.
However, the proposal made by the Standing Committee members had not made it clear from which source the funds will be disbursed, the municipal administration has not given this fund to the PMPML yet.
Even though Diwali has started, the employees have not yet received the bonus amount. As the salaries of the employees are being paid in three stages, only the officers and employees working in the office will be paid on the 1st and the rest will be paid on the 7th and 10th.
As a result, about eight and a half thousand employees have received no bonus on Diwali as well as no salaries in some cases.
