Pune: 1088 new Corona patients in Pune district, check area wise Covid cases in PMC

Pune, July 13, 2020: With the addition of 1088 fresh Coronavirus positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 38,502 in Pune district. Also, 917 patients got discharged from hospitals while 39 people died.

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 38,502 patients 24,508 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 1075 people have died. There are still 12890 active patients undergoing treatment including 584 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 2,39,861  people have been tested in the district.

The 38,502 patients include 27,277 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 7515 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 628 from Pune Cantonment, 324 from Khadki Cantonment, 53 from Dehuroad Cantonment, 2144 from Pune rural areas and 561 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district. In the Pune rural areas and Nagar Parishad, there are 38 from Baramati town, 19 from Baramati rural, 146 from Daund town, 15 from Jejuri, 58 from Talegaon Dabhade, 43 from Chakan, 125 from Saswad, 28 from Alandi, 16 from Lonavala, 12 from Shirur town, 7 from Junnar town, 22 from Indapur town, 10 from Bhor town, 6 from Vadgaon, 35 from Rajguru Nagar, 855 from Haveli, 123 from Shirur, 136 from Junnar rural, 264 from Khed, 224 from Mulshi, 39 from Velha, 72 from Bhor, 28 from Indapur rural, 74 from Daund rural, 140 from Maval, 74 from Purandar and 96 from Ambegaon.

State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 2,54,427. Yesterday, newly 7827 patients have been identified as positive. Also newly 3340 patients have been cured yesterday. Till now 1,40,325 patients are cured and discharged from the hospitals while there are still 1,03,516 active patients in the state. Yesterday, 173 people died taking the total deaths to 10,289 till now.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 8,78,254 across the country. Out of this, 553,470 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 23,174 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 301,609 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
