Pune: 11 Police Personnel Suspended As Ink Hurled At Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil

Pimpri, 11th December 2022: The political atmosphere in Maharashtra has heated up after ink was hurled at Pune’s Guardian Minister, Chandrakant Patil on Saturday. The Chinchwad police registered a case and have arrested the three.

 

Meanwhile, Police Commissioner Ankush Shinde suspended 11 police personnel as the ink was thrown on Chandrakant Patil even when he was under police protection. Manoj Garbade and two of his accomplices threw ink on Chandrakant Patil despite security ring in place.

 

Patil had made controversial statements about Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mahatma Phule and Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil.

 

Speaking at a program, Patil made a statement while quoting legends about the grants given to schools.

Patil said, “Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil started schools. Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and Mahatma Phule also started schools. The government did not give a subsidy when they started school. So, they begged the people to give them money. In those days, some people gave 10 rupees. Now there are people paying Rs 10 crores.”
