Pune, July 3, 2020: With the addition of 1199 fresh Coronavirus positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 26,143 in Pune district. Also, 792 patients got discharged from hospitals while 16 people died.
Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 26,143 patients 16,156 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 822 people have died. There are still 9165 active patients undergoing treatment including 463 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 187,374 people have been tested in the district.
The 26,143 patients include 19,772 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 4172 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 558 from Pune Cantonment, 196 from Khadki Cantonment, 20 from Dehuroad Cantonment and 1453 from Pune rural areas. In the Pune rural areas, there are 13 from Baramati town, 17 from Baramati rural,121 from Daund town, 1 from Jejuri, 42 from Talegaon Dabhade, 19 from Chakan, 68 from Saswad, 7 from Alandi, 5 from Lonavala, 4 from Shirur town, 2 from Junnar town, 19 from Indapur town, 4 from Bhor town, 2 from Vadgaon, 7 from Rajguru Nagar, 498 from Haveli, 45 from Shirur, 76 from Junnar rural, 109 from Khed, 81 from Mulshi, 36 from Velha, 29 from Bhor, 20 from Indapur rural, 43 from Daund rural, 69 from Maval, 28 from Purandar and 60 from Ambegaon.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 19849 out of which 12290 have been cured while 685 have died. There are still 6854 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 389 critical patients out of which 59 are on ventilator support.
Across Maharashtra, a total of 3515 patients were discharged while 6364 new Covid-19 cases were reported today. 198 deaths due to Coronavirus were reported in the state, out of these, 150 deaths occurred in the last 48 hours and rest 48 are from the previous period. The current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 1,92,990 informed State Health Minister Rajesh Tope.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 6,25,544 across the country. Out of this, 379,891 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 18,213 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 227,439 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
