Pune, July 6, 2020: With the addition of 1288 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 28,599 in Pune district. Also, 606 patients got discharged from hospitals while 16 people died.
Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 28,599 patients 17,329 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 869 people have died. There are still 10,379 active patients undergoing treatment including 491 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 1,96,962 people have been tested in the district.
The 28,599 patients include 21,391 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 4794 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 566 from Pune Cantonment, 225 from Khadki Cantonment, 30 from Dehuroad Cantonment and 1593 from Pune rural areas. In the Pune rural areas, there are 16 from Baramati town, 19 from Baramati rural,134 from Daund town, 1 from Jejuri, 45 from Talegaon Dabhade, 20 from Chakan, 78 from Saswad, 9 from Alandi, 8 from Lonavala, 4 from Shirur town, 2 from Junnar town, 19 from Indapur town, 5 from Bhor town, 2 from Vadgaon, 15 from Rajguru Nagar, 527 from Haveli, 48 from Shirur, 81 from Junnar rural, 147 from Khed, 97 from Mulshi, 36 from Velha, 33 from Bhor, 22 from Indapur rural, 51 from Daund rural, 79 from Maval, 33 from Purandar and 62 from Ambegaon.
State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 206,619. Yesterday, newly 6555 patients have been identified as positive. Also newly 3658 patients have been cured yesterday. Till now 1,11,740 patients are cured and discharged from the hospitals while there are still 86,040 active patients in the state. Yesterday, 151 people died taking the total deaths to 8822 till now.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 697,513 across the country. Out of this, 424,432 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 19,693 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 253,287 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
