Pune: 1491 new Corona patients in Pune district, 43 deaths

Pune, July 15, 2020: With the addition of 1491 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 41,326 in Pune district. Also, 1166 patients got discharged from hospitals while 43 people died.

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 41326 patients 26,623 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 1141 people have died. There are still 13528 active patients undergoing treatment including 686 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 2,55,870  people have been tested in the district.

The 41,326 patients include 28,726 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 8420 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 644 from Pune Cantonment, 366 from Khadki Cantonment, 73 from Dehuroad Cantonment, 2443 from Pune rural areas and 654 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district. In the Pune rural areas and Nagar Parishad, there are 43 from Baramati town, 19 from Baramati rural, 146 from Daund town, 19 from Jejuri, 68 from Talegaon Dabhade, 88 from Chakan, 132 from Saswad, 31 from Alandi, 17 from Lonavala, 13 from Shirur town, 9 from Junnar town, 27 from Indapur town, 12 from Bhor town, 8 from Vadgaon, 41 from Rajguru Nagar, 998 from Haveli, 132 from Shirur, 160 from Junnar rural, 312 from Khed, 249 from Mulshi, 43 from Velha, 81 from Bhor, 33 from Indapur rural, 79 from Daund rural, 162 from Maval, 79 from Purandar and 96 from Ambegaon.

Maharashtra State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that the current count of COVID19 patients in the state of Maharashtra is 2,67,665. Yesterday, newly 6741 patients have been identified as positive. Also newly 4500 patients have been cured yesterday. Till now 1,49,007 patients are cured and discharged from the hospitals while there are still 1,07,665 active patients in the state. Yesterday, 213 people died taking the total deaths to 10,695 till now.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 936,181 across the country. Out of this, 592,031 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 24,309 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 319,840 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
