Pune Divisional Commissioner home quarantined after his driver tests COVID positive

Pune, July 15, 2020:Pune Divisional Commissioner Dr Deepak Mhaisekar’s driver tested positive for Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). After this, Mhaisekar has to home quarantine himself as a precautionary measure.

 

Mhaisekar said that he will be tested after five days as recommended by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and will continue to work from home as a precautionary measure.

Mhaisekar is in charge of five districts, which includes Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, and Solapur. All critical decisions of COVID-19, regarding the containment strategy and also the 10-day stringent lockdown was decided in the presence of Mhaisekar.

 

Till now, all the COVID-19 management meetings were being held in the presence of Mhaisekar. The meeting was attended by Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner, District Collector, Commissioner of Police, and other senior officers. The drivers of all these officers interact with each other often. Therefore, the tension of the administrative officers has increased.
