Pune: 15-Year-Old Girl Raped By Two Youths Who Took For Birthday Cake Cutting
Hadapsar, 31st January 2024: A disturbing incident has surfaced in Hadapsar, Pune, revealing a horrifying case of a minor girl being sexually assaulted by two youths.
The incident occurred on the riverbed of the Manjari area, prompting the police to register a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act based on the complaint filed by the 15-year-old victim.
The accused, identified as Anurag Salve (21) and Ganesh Mhetre (23), both residents of Mundhwa, allegedly lured the victim under the pretext of celebrating a birthday. They are friends of victim’s girlfriends. The accused sexually assaulted her at an isolated location in Manjri and abandoned her there. The incident transpired between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm on January 29.
The accused transported the victim on a two-wheeler to the riverbed in Manjri Budruk, where the appalling assault took place. Adding to the heinous act, the accused reportedly threatened the victim, warning her of dire consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

The Hadapsar police took swift action and registered a case against the accused based on the complaint filed by the girl.
